Anil Diggikar takes charge as General Manager of BEST

In a significant development for the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking, Anil Diggikar has officially taken over as the new General Manager on March 14th. Mr. Diggikar, a distinguished Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1990 batch, brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise to the position.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Mr. Diggikar commenced his career as an Assistant Collector in Ratnagiri. Over the years, he has held several prominent executive roles across various government organizations, showcasing his leadership and administrative prowess.
Among his notable appointments, Mr. Anil Diggikar has served as the Commissioner of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Director General of Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (Mahaurja) in Pune, and Additional Commissioner of the Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
He has also held key positions such as Chairman of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), and Vice President and Managing Director of the CIDCO Corporation.
During his tenure as Assistant Collector in Latur from 1992 to 1994, Mr. Diggikar played a pivotal role in the rehabilitation efforts for earthquake victims, demonstrating his commitment to community welfare.
