Navi Mumbai: Apeejay School, Kharghar, resonated with vibrant colours, rhythm, and pride as students from Pre-Primary to Grade II participated in the school’s annual Appreciation Day, celebrating the theme ‘Incredible India’.
Dressed in traditional attire, the young students captivated an esteemed audience that included Dr Neha Berlia, Co-owner and Director (Family Business Board), Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and Office Bearer, Apeejay Education. Through a series of cultural performances and group dances, the children showcased the diverse traditions, customs, and rich heritage of various Indian states.
The programme commenced with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati, the embodiment of wisdom and the arts, through a traditional Saraswati Puja dance. This was followed by an energetic tribute to the legendary Maratha warrior, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, among other vibrant presentations that celebrated the nation’s unity in diversity.
The event also recognised academic excellence, with Dr Neha Berlia, Chief Guest Bharat Tangde (Assistant Superintendent of Police, Thane Rural), and Guests of Honour Dr Ravi Warrier and Rotarian Harsh V Makol felicitating top achievers and competition winners. They urged students to strive for holistic development—excelling in academics and co-curriculars alike.
Principal Dr Sonali V Balwatkar, while commending the young performers and their mentors, emphasised the importance of preserving cultural heritage and unity. She also presented the school’s Annual Report, outlining key milestones and achievements.
