In a remarkable homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his 68th Mahaparinirvana Day, Naresh Lohar, a 51-year-old art teacher from Bharati Vidyapeeth Marathi Medium School, CBD, created a stunning portrait of Babasaheb on a fountain pen nib.

The nib, measuring a mere 2 cm by 7 mm, became the canvas for this extraordinary tribute. Using an acrylic medium and a ‘0’ number paintbrush, Lohar completed the intricate portrait in just 9 minutes and 24 seconds. This feat highlights his artistic prowess and deep admiration for Dr. Ambedkar, often referred to as the architect of the Indian Constitution.

A passionate devotee of Babasaheb, Lohar has previously painted his Guru's likeness on unconventional surfaces, including jowar bhakris, peepal leaves, and even his fingertips. This time, he chose a fountain pen nib to symbolize the transformative power of Babasaheb’s pen, which scripted the destiny of a nation through the Constitution.

Reflecting on his creation, Lohar shared, “This is my heartfelt homage to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, who reshaped India's social fabric. On his Mahaparinirvana Day, it is imperative for us as citizens to honor his legacy and uphold the sovereignty of the Constitution.”

Lohar's unique tribute has already earned recognition from the Harvard World Records for the shortest time taken to paint on a nib. He expressed gratitude to his wife Chaitali, daughters Sarthali and Sarthaki, and his student Mayuresh Mahadik for their support. The management, principal, staff, and teachers of Bharati Vidyapeeth School also lauded his creative homage.
