Delivering the judgement in the sensational Ashwini Bidre case on April 5, Judge KG Paldewar expressed displeasure over the investigation and the failure of the police to conduct proper and timely investigations.

Directing that action should be taken against the officials who were negligent and failed to conduct proper investigations.

Abhay Kurundkar, the main accused, who was found guilty on April 5, leveraged his position as a police officer to suppress the crime and throw a spanner in the investigations into the crime.

As a result, Bidre’s family had to move High Court which led to the registration of the case in January 2017.
