BCCI releases final set of tickets for Cricket World Cup 2023 knockouts phase

As the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 reaches its business end, where three of the teams including India have booked their place in the semi-final knockout stage, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will release a final batch of tickets on Thursday.

The tickets for the three marquee games – 1st semi-final* to be played on Wednesday 15th November between table topper India and one of the three teams New Zealand or Pakistan or Afghanistan, depending on their overall placing in the Points table & later Net Run Rate in case of a three way tie, at the end of their final round robin league matches.

The 2nd semi-final* however will be played between South Africa and five times former champions Australia on Thursday 16th November.

The all-important final between the winners of these two semi-finalists on Sunday 19th November at the world’s largest cricket venue - Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, which also hosted the inaugural match of the 13th edition of the global event between last editions finalist England and New Zealand last month.

The limited set of tickets will go live at 8:00 PM on 9th November on the official ticketing website at https://tickets.cricketworldcup.com. This will be the last chance for cricket fans wanting to experience the magic and thrill of the World Cup and to witness in person the crowning of a new champion.

As  per the International Cricket  Council (ICC), the global governing body of cricket,  if India takes on arch rivals Pakistan in the first semi-final, the first semi-final will not be held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, as per the original schedule. In that case the semi-final, match will take place at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. In that case the second semi-final between South Africa and Australia will take place in Mumbai.
