Ganesh Naik and Manda Mhatre to contest from Navi Mumbai

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its first list of candidates for the upcoming 2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections, signalling the start of its preparations for the crucial state contest. The Central Election Committee (CEC) has reviewed and approved the initial list of candidates for various constituencies across the state.

In a significant move, the BJP has decided to retain sitting MLA Ganesh Naik as its candidate for the 150-Airoli Assembly Constituency, reaffirming its trust in the veteran leader’s capability to secure the seat. Naik is a prominent political figure in Navi Mumbai, known for his long-standing involvement in local politics and development initiatives.

Similarly, MLA Manda Mhatre has been nominated to contest once again from the 151-Belapur Assembly Constituency. Manda Mhatre, who has a reputation for her active involvement in community welfare programs and development projects in Belapur, will seek to retain her seat in the upcoming elections. Her re-nomination reflects the party's strategy to leverage experienced leaders with strong local connections.
