The Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation (BNCMC) has taken strict action against individuals involved in unauthorized water connections in the city. During an inspection of the areas under BNCMC’s jurisdiction, including Narpoli, Hasan Mehta Building, Samru Bagh, Juna Gauripada, and other locations, it was discovered that several individuals had illegally dug municipal roads and obtained unauthorized water connections.
Among those found guilty were Abdul Kalam Shah (alias Bablu, a developer), Tabrez Sheikh (developer), and Mohd. Saif Azad Khan (plumber), who dug up the road and illegally connected 11 tap connections of ½" diameter without permission from the municipality. As a result, a case was registered against them at Bhoiwada Police Station under sections 324(4), 324 (5), 303(2), and 326(c) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) 2023.
In another instance, Atiq Khan illegally dug the municipal road in the Narpoli, Golden Hotel, Jairam Tower Marg, and Dudh Bawdi Naka areas, damaging the municipal water channel and securing an unauthorized water connection for his service centre. A similar case was registered against him at the Nizampur Police Station under the same IPC sections.
The BNCMC took action under the orders of Administrator and Commissioner, guided by Executive Engineer Sandeep Patnavar and the Water Supply Department. The operation was executed by the team led by Shri Viraj Viraj Bhoir (Team Chief) and Nafees Momin (Assistant Team Chief).
