CIDCO VC & MD Vijay Singhal reviews progress on key water supply projects

Navi Mumbai: Vijay Singhal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO, visited multiple water supply project sites under CIDCO’s jurisdiction to assess ongoing developments. He emphasized the importance of timely completion, instructing officials and contractors to ensure adherence to project deadlines.

Accompanying him were Ganesh Deshmukh, Joint Managing Director, Sheela Karunakaran, Chief Engineer, and other key officials, including Superintending Engineer P. V. Mul. Singhal reassured that sufficient water supply will be secured for the growing population under CIDCO's jurisdiction in the near future.

During his visit, Mr. Singhal inspected the Hetawane Water Supply Augmentation Scheme, which is set to provide 270 million liters per day (MLD). He reviewed the progress of the water treatment plant (WTP) at Jite and the raw water tunnel infrastructure, expressing satisfaction with the project’s pace.

Mr. Singhal also inaugurated the shaft construction for a water tunnel at Sai village, with tunnelling work expected to begin by the end of October using a tunnel boring machine.
