Further to the decision to operate multiple Special Traffic and Power Blocks for launching of open web girders for reconstruction of British era Carnac Road Over Bridge (Span II) on the midnights of 25th/26th/27th/31st January and 1st/2nd/3rd February, 2025 as reported in Newsband Dt. 25th January, 2025, Central Railway (CR) - Mumbai Division has decided to implement a Special Emergency blocks between CSMT and Masjid station o­n 28th/29th (Tuesday/Wednesday Night time) & 29th/30th (Wednesday/Thursday Night time) January, 2025 too, from 00.30 hrs. to 03.30 hrs. (Three hours)

The Traffic Block section on both the midnights is as follows:

1. i) UP & DOWN Harbour Lines - Between Vadala Road and CSMT (excluding both stations)
2. ii) UP & DOWN Slow and Fast Lines - Between Byculla and CSMT (excluding both stations)

The repercussions on the trains services (outstations and local) on account of each block, are detailed below:

Suburban services will not operate between CSMT and Vadala Road on the Harbour Line and between CSMT and Byculla on the Main Line. Further trains on these lines will be short-terminated or originate at intermediate stations including that at Byculla, Parel, Dadar and Kurla stations.

Details of last and first locals before and after the blocks are detailed below:

a) Harbour Line last suburban services before block:

DN Line: CSMT - Panvel departs at 00.13 hrs. and will reach Panvel at 01.33 hrs.

UP Line: Panvel - CSMT departs at 22.46 hrs. and will reach CSMT at 00.05 hrs.

b) Harbour Line first suburban services after block:

DN Line: CSMT - Panvel departs at 04.52 hrs. and will reach Panvel at 06.12 hrs.

UP Line: Bandra - CSMT departs at 04.17 hrs. and will reach CSMT at 04.48 hrs.

c) Main Line last suburban services before block:

DN Slow Line: CSMT – Karjat departs at 00.12 hrs. and will reach Karjat at 02.33 hrs.

UP Slow Line: Dombivali - CSMT departs at 22.48 hrs.  and will reach CSMT at 00.10 hrs.

d) Main Line first suburban services after block:

DN Slow Line: CSMT - Karjat departs at 04.47 hrs. and will reach Karjat at 07.08 hrs.

UP Slow Line: Kalyan - CSMT departs at 03.23 hrs. and will reach CSMT at 04.56 hrs.

e) Short-terminated Mail/Express trains at Dadar:

The following trains will terminate at Dadar instead of CSMT, Mumbai:

i) Train no. 12052 Madgaon-CSMT Express (JCO 1st February)

ii) Train no. 11058 Amritsar-CSMT Express (JCO 31st January)  

iii) Train no. 22120 Madgaon-CSMT Tejas Express (JCO 1st February).

Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration as these blocks are essential for infrastructure development. While the blocks will cause temporary inconvenience, the reconstruction of Carnac ROB is a critical step towards improving Mumbai’s railway infrastructure.
