Harbour / Uran Lines spared

Central Railway (CR) / Western Railway (WR) will operate Mega & Special Traffic /Jumbo Blocks o­n its suburban sections for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works including maintenance of tracks, signaling, and overhead equipment, that are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety on Sunday 23rd February, 2025 as per the details given below:

A) Thane-Vashi / Nerul UP and DN CR Trans-Harbour Lines

From: 11.10 am to 4.10 pm

UP Trans-Harbour line services towards Thane leaving Vashi / Nerul / Panvel from 10.25 am to 4.09 pm and DN Trans-Harbour line services towards Vashi / Nerul / Panvel leaving Thane from 10.35 am to 4.07 pm will remain cancelled.

Suburban Train services however will be available on Harbour and Fourth Corridor (BSU line / URAN) Lines during the block period.

B) Thane-Kalyan UP and DN CR Main Fast Lines

From 10.40 am to 3.40 pm
UP Fast / Semi-fast services leaving Kalyan from 10.28 am to 03.40 pm will be diverted on UP Slow line between Kalyan and Thane stations halting at Diva, Mumbra and Kalva stations in addition to their respective halts and further re-diverted on UP Fast line at Mulund station and will arrive at destinations 10 minutes later than their scheduled arrival.

DN Fast/Semi-Fast local services departing CSMT Mumbai from 09.34 am to 3.03 pm will be diverted on DN Slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations halting at Kalva, Mumbra and Diva stations in addition to their respective halts and will arrive at destinations 10 minutes later than their scheduled arrival.

C) Ambarnath-Vangani CR Main Lines

From: 1:30 am to 3:00 am

A Special Traffic and Power block for the launching of foot overbridge (FOB) main girders between Ambarnath and Vangani. The block will take place on the night of February 22-23, 2025 (Saturday-Sunday) over a period of one and half hour, affecting both UP and DOWN lines. The affected section extends from Ambarnath (excluding all crossovers and sidings) to Vangani (excluding all crossovers). As part of this project, seven girders, each 12 meters wide, will be launched for the Kalyan-end FOB at Badlapur. Additionally, four girders, each 4 meters wide, will be launched for the Badlapur-Vangani FOB at the mid-section.

Repercussions on Mail /Express trains

Due to the block, Train No. 11020 Bhubaneshwar-CSMT Konark Express will be diverted via Karjat-Panvel and will make a scheduled halt at Panvel. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.

Short Termination / Orignation of Suburban Trains:

1) CSMT - Karjat local leaving CSMT at 00:12 am will be short-terminated at Ambarnath station.

2) CSMT- Badlapur local leaving CSMT at 23:51 pm will be short-terminated at Ambarnath station.

3) Parel - Ambarnath local leaving Parel at 23:13 pm will be extended upto Badlapur station.

4) Karjat - CSMT local leaving Karjat at 02:30 am will short originate from Ambarnath station instead of Karjat.

Last Local for Karjat before block - CSMT departure at 23:30 pm and Karjat arrival at 01:49 pm. First Local for CSMT after block - Karjat departure at 03:35 am and CSMT arrival at 05:56 am

D) Santacruz-Goregaon UP and DN WR Fast Lines

From 10.00 am to 3.00 pm
Western Railway will undertake a five hours Jumbo block between Santacruz and Goregaon station on its Fast Lines

During the block period, all Fast line suburban trains will be operated on Slow line between Goregaon and Santacruz stations.

Some suburban trains will remain cancelled during the block and also some of the Andheri & Borivali trains will be worked up to Goregaon on CR Harbour line.
