Dadoji Konddev Stadium illuminated with state-of-the-art sport high mast

In a significant development aimed at enhancing sports facilities, the Dadoji Konddev Stadium in Thane's Bhushan area has undergone a transformation with the installation of an international standard Sport high mast. The inauguration of this state-of-the-art facility was conducted by Member of Parliament Shrikant Shinde, marking a milestone in the ongoing efforts to provide better services to athletes.
The ceremony was attended by notable personalities, including former corporator Najeeb Mulla, Vikas Repale, Deputy Commissioner Sports Officer Meenal Palande, and Suburban Engineer Vidyut Shubhangi Keswani.
Dadoji Konddev stadium attracts numerous athletes from Thane and neighbouring areas who participate in various sports activities. To continually enhance the sporting experience, the Municipal Corporation has undertaken several initiatives, with the recent addition being the installation of four international standard high masts under sport lighting. Each high mast stands at an impressive height of 62 meters, equipped with 120 lamps totalling 1620 KW.
After the inauguration, MP Shrikant Shinde along with former corporator Najeeb Mulla and Vikas Repalle, participated in a friendly game of cricket at the stadium, expressing his support for the sports community. Shinde extended his best wishes to the players engaged in an ongoing cricket match at the stadium.
Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar expressed confidence that the newly installed high masts would not only add a vibrant glow to the Dadoji Konddev Stadium but also ensure ample illumination during night-time sports activities. The move is expected to address the concerns of players, providing a conducive environment for their practice and competitions.
