Navi Mumbai: As Ganeshotsav approaches on September 7th, the festive spirit in Ghansoli is marred by concerns over potholes that are causing significant trouble for devotees. With the arrival of Ganesha at homes beginning on September 4th or 5th, the persistent issue of potholes has become a pressing concern for the community.

Recent heavy rains have left many roads in Navi Mumbai, including those in Ghansoli, covered with potholes. Notably affected areas include the roads near Megh Malhar CIDCO Home Construction Complex and Bhairav Co. These potholes are creating hazardous conditions, raising fears that the arrival and immersion process for Ganeshotsav might be disrupted.

Devotees are voicing their concerns about navigating these dangerous conditions during the festivities. There is an urgent demand for the immediate filling of potholes to ensure a smooth and safe Ganeshotsav celebration.

In response to these concerns, Yashwant Kapse, Executive Engineer of Ghansoli for the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, stated that the contract for constructing a new road in front of Megh Malhar Society and Bhairav Society is currently in the tender process.
