Diwale village school to get Rs. 10 crore redevelopment boost

Navi Mumbai: In a significant development for Diwale village, a 70-year-old primary school is set to undergo a major transformation. The development work will be done through MLA Manda Mhatre funds, a redevelopment project has been approved with an allocation of Rs. 10 crore.

The existing school, which has deteriorated over the years, posed a safety risk to its students. Concerned parents brought their grievances to MLA Manda Mhatre, who took immediate action. After a thorough inspection of the school and discussions with the then Navi Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Narvekar, MLA Manda Mhatre initiated plans for a comprehensive redevelopment.

The new G+2 building project, which is expected to cost Rs. 10 crore, has received the approval with the tender announcement made on September 7, 2024. This redevelopment aims to create a modern educational environment with all necessary facilities to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.

MLA Manda Mhatre emphasized the importance of quality education and the need for a safe and conducive learning environment, especially in rural areas. She highlighted that primary education is crucial for building self-confidence and preparing children for a competitive world.

The school’s principal, teachers, students, and villagers expressed their gratitude and appreciation for MLA Manda Mhatre's efforts. The redevelopment will not only improve the infrastructure but also enhance the educational standards and living conditions for the children in Diwale village.
