top-news

Mumbai: Dr. Shrikant Shinde, MP, has announced a significant development for the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency with the introduction of the 'Navi Mumbai NH-3 via Kalyan-Badlapur Access-Controlled Route.' This major project will directly connect Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and key cities such as Thane, Dombivli, Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, Ambarnath, and Badlapur.

The new route, starting from the Mumbai-Vadodara National Highway in Badlapur, will extend through Palegaon, featuring an interchange providing direct access to Ambarnath and Katai Road. It will continue towards Kalyan, connecting to Metro Line 12, the Kalyan Ring Road, and Kalyan-Shilphata Road.

At Shiradon, the route will merge with a newly constructed multi-modal corridor, linking directly to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Coastal Road, and improving access to the Navi Mumbai International Airport. Additionally, it will connect to the Mumbai-Panvel Expressway and the Kharghar-Turbhe Link Road, further enhancing connectivity.

Dr. Shinde emphasized that this access-controlled route will ease intra-city traffic congestion, provide faster commutes, and modernize infrastructure in the region. By linking the Mumbai-Vadodara National Highway with the Samruddhi Highway, it will also facilitate smoother travel to Nashik and other destinations.
