Kalyan: In a sharp attack on Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis defended the actions of election officials and targeted the opposition over their campaign tactics during a rally for Sulabha Gaikwad, the Mahayuti candidate for Kalyan East. Fadnavis addressed the crowd and responded to recent criticisms regarding the checking of bags during election campaigns.

"What happened if the bags were checked? There is no reason to be so angry about it. Election officials also checked our bags during the campaign, and we were not 'radared' at all. But now, all issues with him have been exhausted, and Uddhav Thackeray is starting to seek votes by playing the radar card," Fadnavis said, referring to the ongoing political drama.

The meeting, held in support of Gaikwad, saw significant participation from political leaders, including Public Works Minister Ravindra Chavan, former Union Minister Kapil Patil, Goa Minister Subhash Paldesai, Uttar Pradesh Minister Girish Yadav, and BJP District President Narendra Suryavanshi, along with other Mahayuti members.

Fadnavis continued his critique, pointing out that Uddhav Thackeray, Congress, and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition had failed to support important schemes like the "Beloved Sister" initiative. "Some of your half-brothers are roaming the market, but the court reprimanded them for their opposition. The scheme will not be closed," he added.

Shifting focus to the state’s economic situation, Fadnavis emphasized the growth in Maharashtra's industrial sector under the current government. "When Uddhav Thackeray’s government was in power, Maharashtra's industrial sector was declining. But under our leadership, Maharashtra is leading the nation in industry investment, surpassing Karnataka and Gujarat. This year, we brought 52 percent of the total industrial investment into Maharashtra," he stated confidently.

Fadnavis proudly referred to the ruling party’s approach as the "Trimurti Trishul," a symbol of progress and development in Maharashtra, vowing to continue efforts to make the state a model for others.

Fadnavis called on the supporters to stand with the fighters and continue to work towards the development of Kalyan East, confidently pledging that Sulabha Gaikwad would win the election by a significant margin. “Those who cry will continue crying, but we are the fighters. We will make Kalyan East an ideal constituency,” he concluded.
