Mumbai: The Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s residence was filled with festive fervour as farmers, police personnel, and sanitation workers gathered to perform the Aarti of Lord Ganesh. The air was charged with chants of "Ganapati Bappa Morya... Mangalmurthy Morya," creating a vibrant atmosphere.

On this special occasion, MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde and former MP Rahul Shewale were present to witness the celebrations. In the morning, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also visited Varsha residence to pay his respects and have darshan of Lord Ganesh.

The ceremony was particularly poignant as it included farmers from Lohara in Hingoli district, who travelled to Mumbai to meet the Chief Minister. These farmers, including Balaji Athadkar, Sakharam Bodke, and Umesh Chavan, had been severely affected by recent heavy rains that had washed away their homes and farms. The Chief Minister performed the afternoon aarti of Lord Ganesha in their presence.

Following the aarti, MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde met with the farmers to offer his support and comfort them in their time of distress.

Additionally, the aarti was performed by policemen and sanitation workers who were on duty at residence, adding to the inclusive spirit of the event. Their participation highlighted the unity and collective efforts in celebrating Ganeshotsav amidst challenging times.
