Navi Mumbai: A massive fire erupted early this morning at the transformer of Mahavitaran located in E/135 and G group near Masali Market in Airoli Sector 3. The incident occurred around 6 am, causing an explosion that shattered the windows of nearby houses and set vehicles ablaze.

The intensity of the fire led to the complete destruction of 5 two-wheelers and one rickshaw. The Airoli fire brigade responded promptly, arriving at the scene and successfully bringing the fire under control.

Hiraman Naik of the Airoli Residents Association reported the incident to the MSEDCL office. In response, the officials assured that a new transformer and wiring would be installed immediately to replace the damaged equipment.
