Fire breaks out at bank in Mumbra and electric switchboard in Chandanwadi

Two separate fire incidents occurred in Thane on Monday morning, one at a bank in Mumbra and another at an electric switchboard in Chandanwadi. Fortunately, there were no casualties in either incident, but both caused financial damage.

The first fire took place at the DCB Bank located near Nasheman Enclave, Kausa, Mumbra. The fire started in the outdoor AC units on the ground floor of the bank. A total of 11 AC outdoor units were gutted in the blaze. The fire also caused minor damage to nearby shops, including a mobile and a clothing store. Fire brigade personnel responded swiftly, and no injuries were reported at the scene.

In the second incident, a minor fire broke out in an electric switchboard located on the third floor of C-Wing, Hanuman Society, in Chandanwadi, Thane. The fire occurred in a room in Bholabhai Estate, Alameda Road, and was quickly contained by the Disaster Management Department, Mahadistribution staff, and the fire brigade. Four residents who were inside the building at the time of the fire were safely evacuated. The fire was completely extinguished with the help of local residents and emergency services.

Authorities have confirmed that there were no injuries in either incident, but the financial loss due to the damage to the property is being assessed.
