In a collaborative effort to bolster voter awareness, Ganesh mandals in Thane district have joined hands with the Chief Electoral Officer of Maharashtra during the auspicious occasion of Ganeshotsav. The initiative aims to inform citizens about the importance of voting and encourage voter registration.

The Chief Electoral Officer's office has facilitated this endeavour by providing banner materials through a Google link, which Ganesh mandals can utilize to disseminate crucial information about voting and the voter registration process. District Election Officer and Collector Ashok Shingare have fervently appealed to Ganesh mandals across Thane district to participate actively in this awareness campaign.

Promoting public awareness about voting is essential, especially to ensure that citizens, particularly youth and those not yet registered to vote, become part of the democratic process. During Ganeshotsav, numerous Ganesh mandals engage in various social initiatives and activities. “By displaying banners focused on voter awareness, these mandals can effectively communicate the importance of civic participation to citizens”, said District Election Officer and Collector Ashok Shingare.
