Gothivali Lake in Ghansoli cleaned under Swachh Jal, Swachh Maan campaign

Navi Mumbai: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great Sant Gadge Maharaj, who exemplified the mantra of cleanliness through his own actions, a comprehensive cleanliness campaign was carried out in the Ghansoli division with public participation, under the guidance of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, in alignment with Swachh Survekshan 2024.
As part of the campaign, the surrounding areas of Rajiv Gandhi Lake, Gothivali, in the Ghansoli division were thoroughly cleaned. The initiative was overseen by Additional Commissioner Sunil Pawar, Zone II Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kailas Gaikwad, and Deputy Commissioner of Solid Waste Management (Circle II) Santosh Warule.
The Swachh Jal, Swachh Maan campaign was successfully executed under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Sanjay Tayde and Sanitation Officer Vijay Padghan.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from the office bearers and members of Shri Sant Nirankari Seva Sanstha, including Sadanand Patil, along with municipal officials, employees, and sanitation workers.
In addition to cleaning the lake’s surroundings, the water body itself was purified using rafts and boats to remove waste from the reservoir. The initiative continues to emphasize widespread public participation, ensuring collective efforts toward a cleaner environment.
