J Kumar secures Rs 1,020 cr contract for Coastal Road project

In a major infrastructure boost for Navi Mumbai, J Kumar Infraprojects Ltd. has secured a Rs 1,020 crore contract to design and construct a coastal road in the city. The project, awarded by the CIDCO aims to enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion. This move is expected to give a further boost to real estate in Nerul and Kharghar.
According to an exchange filing by the company with the Bombay Stock Exchange, the project includes the construction of a coastal road from Jalmarg Sector-16 in Kharghar to the PMAY Housing Scheme near Kharghar railway station.
Additionally, the scope of work features a pedestrian underpass near Delhi Public School, Nerul, improving road safety and accessibility for local residents.
J Kumar Infraprojects has committed to completing the ambitious infrastructure initiative within a three-year timeline. This project is expected to enhance urban mobility, reduce travel time, and support the long-term growth of Navi Mumbai as a major commercial and residential hub.
The coastal road is part of Cidco’s broader vision to develop sustainable and well-planned infrastructure, ensuring smooth connectivity in the city’s expanding suburbs.
With this project, J Kumar Infraprojects further strengthens its role as a key player in Maharashtra’s infrastructure development, having previously executed several large-scale projects across Mumbai and beyond.
