Kalyan: As part of the government’s ‘Ease of Living’ initiative, Mahavitaran has provided 2.73 lakh new electricity connections in Kalyan and Bhandup during the 2024–25 financial year, ensuring timely and seamless service to consumers across domestic, commercial, industrial, and agricultural categories.

Recognising electricity as a basic necessity, the initiative aims to ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply. Acting on the directives of Mahavitaran’s Managing Director, Lokesh Chandra, and the standards set by the Electricity Regulatory Commission, the power utility has prioritised timely connections and swift redressal of complaints.

In Kalyan, 1,50,471 new connections were issued, comprising 1,38,570 single-phase and 11,901 three-phase supplies. Division-wise distribution includes:

• Kalyan Office I: 31,905
• Kalyan  Office II: 39,239
• Vasai  : 53,710
• Palghar: 25,617

In Bhandup, 1,22,936 connections were provided - 1,03,925 single-phase and 19,011 three-phase. Division-wise figures:
