Kalyan: The inauguration of the Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Knowledge Centre in Kalyan East is scheduled for April 13, on the eve of Dr Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. The centre will open to the public from April 14.

Ahead of the event, KDMC Commissioner Abhinav Goyal chaired a review meeting on Friday to assess the status of preparations. He directed officials to ensure that all work at the venue is completed and that arrangements are in place for crowd management with police support.

Key instructions included setting up directional signage to the venue, verifying the completion of infrastructure, and deploying an ambulance and medical team from April 13 evening. The Commissioner also called for reliable power backup through generators, along with proper electrical and fire safety measures.

Additional Commissioners Harshal Gaikwad, Yogesh Godse, police officials, and Jayanti Utsav Committee member Sumedh Humane were present. Goyal emphasised the need for smooth coordination to ensure the event runs safely and efficiently.
