Raise concerns about sounds being over the decibel limits

Residents of Kharghar Sector 15, opposite Balaji Heights on D-Mart Road, have reported significant disturbances due to continuous construction noise from a CIDCO project. The noise, which persists throughout the night, is impacting the well-being of families, particularly affecting children and elderly individuals. A resident took to social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, to air out their grievances.

The resident who goes by @chellamtce on Twitter and lives on the 19th floor expressed their concerns in a tweet, saying, “Every day, they make noise day and night their work is going on. This construction site is located at Kharghar, Sector 15 opposite Balaji Heights, Dmart Road. I have attached the video online too. Save us from this, can’t they work during the daytime?”
The video accompanying the complaint highlights the intensity of the noise and the disruption it causes. “The noise is especially disruptive at 2:00 a.m.”, said another resident

The Navi Mumbai Police, via their Twitter account, acknowledged the complaint, and responded by replying to the tweet saying, “Thank you for contacting Navi Mumbai Police, your complaint has been forwarded to the concerned police station.”

Additionally, residents of Sector 34, in front of the Keystone Vista building, have reported similar issues. They claim that loud noise from ongoing digging activities is affecting 15 nearby societies. They have appealed to CIDCO Ltd. to ensure that the builder adheres to construction regulations and maintains acceptable noise levels.
Virat Kohli, a resident of Kharghar shared a video of this on Twitter and in a tweet, he said, “Please note the sound of an under construction building in Sector 34, Kharghar in front of Keystone Vista building. All the nearby 15 societies are very troubled by loud noise of digging throughout the day.”

He added, “I am hoping that the builder follows the rules and regulations when constructing, as noise levels are very high in actuality.” He urged CIDCO, to take please take strict action against this.

Vandana Gupta, another Kharghar resident who lives near Ashoka Residency, tweeted, “The construction site of Satyam developer which is near Ashoka residency, Kharghar. Loud noise can be heard clearly. They started work at 7:00 a.m., there were no air and noise safety measures. Why are you not serious about taking action against the builder?”

She further tweeted saying, “This is really unfortunate. I have been fighting with the Satyam developer, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai since almost a year and making complaints to all responsible authorities. But no action has been taken against the builder, so far, who is not following timing, noise and air pollution norms. How long should I fight for this?”

She tagged the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) , Navi Mumbai Police, CMO Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde and CIDCO, along with other organisations to raise awareness about this issue
