Santosh Kumar Jha, CMD/KRCL, inaugurated the modern ‘state-of-the-art’ Executive Lounge at Khed Railway Station located in Khed, Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra in presence of Ashutosh Shrivastava, CCM/KRCL, Shailesh Bapat, RRM/Ratnagiri, and other KRCL officials. The fully air conditioned facility will facilitate railway passengers' brief stay while waiting for their trains on Konkan Railway route.

The station serves as a vital link for travellers, particularly in the picturesque Konkan region and its surrounding areas is a well-known tourist spot boasting of various Hindu temples of various deities including the likes of Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman. The picturesque Khed Beach on the other hand offers stunning sunset views and a serene atmosphere.
