A massive public meeting was held at Ramlila Maidan in Nerul on Thursday evening, as part of the election campaign for Maha Vikas Aghadi candidate Sandeep Naik from Belapur Assembly Constituency. The event witnessed a powerful gathering of political figures and enthusiastic supporters, with leaders expressing unwavering confidence in Naik's victory.

The meeting featured key speakers including NCP State President Jayant Patil, MP Supriya Sule, MP Nilesh Lanka, MP Sanjay Patil, and Thane Lok Sabha MLA Sajeev Joseph of Congress, along with other local leaders such as Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray District Chief Vitthal More and NCP District President Chandrakant Patil. Sandeep Naik himself was present, addressing the crowd with his vision for the constituency's development.

During the meeting MP Supriya Sule delivered a sharp critique of the BJP leadership, condemning the disrespect shown towards activists, citizens, and women by the sitting MLA of Belapur. She emphasized the importance of respecting Maharashtra’s traditions and the need to defend democracy against forces that attack constitutional values. MP Supriya Sule also promised that once the Maha Vikas Aghadi government takes power, the Mahalakshmi Yojana will be launched, providing Rs. 3,000 per month to women from poor backgrounds.

MP Supriya expressed confidence in Sandeep Naik’s leadership, describing him as an ideal MLA who would be a true representative of the people. "Sandeep Naik's manifesto is not just a promise; it’s a commitment he will keep," she said, rallying the crowd’s support for Naik.

State President Jayant Patil also took the stage to express strong support for Sandeep Naik. He lauded Naik's dedication to serving the people of Belapur and emphasized that his progressive mindset would bring the much-needed change to the constituency. Patil made a pointed remark about rival candidates who claimed credit for development works that were initiated by people's representatives, particularly targeting the sitting MLA of Belapur.

Patil declared that Sandeep Naik's victory would mark the end of the past ten years of misrepresentation in Belapur. "Only a progressive leader like Sandeep Naik can bring real development to this constituency," Patil added, announcing plans for Mahalakshmi Yojana and free ST travel for women once Maha Vikas Aghadi comes to power.

MP Nilesh Lanka further boosted Naik's prospects by highlighting his track record of serving the public. Lanka pointed out that, unlike the incumbent MLA, Sandeep Naik has been actively involved with the people and their concerns.

In his speech, Sandeep Naik expressed gratitude to NCP leaders, Maha Vikas Aghadi workers, and supporters for their trust and support. He reaffirmed his commitment to the overall development of Belapur, particularly focusing on the dignity of citizens, activists, and women. Naik also criticized CIDCO for failing to contribute to Navi Mumbai’s development, especially during the COVID-19 crisis when the city was in dire need of support. He demanded that CIDCO build a hospital in Navi Mumbai at its own expense, with the government covering operational costs.

Naik concluded his address by reiterating the collective determination of Mahavikas Aghadi workers to ensure his victory, declaring, "Together, we will work for the brighter future of Belapur."
