Maharashtra Assembly Elections announced: Voting on November 20, Counting on November 23

Mumbai: The Election Commission has officially announced the schedule for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, which will see all 288 Legislative Assembly seats contested. The announcement was made during a press conference in Delhi, confirming that the election will be conducted in a single phase across the state.

Voting is scheduled for November 20, with the counting of votes set for November 23. With the election dates now declared, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect throughout Maharashtra.

Candidates interested in contesting the elections can submit their nomination forms until October 29, while the scrutiny of nominations will be conducted on October 30. According to Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar, the deadline for withdrawing nomination forms is November 4.
