Ankush Kadam, the official candidate representing the Parivartan Mahashakti and Maharashtra Swarajya Party for the Airoli Constituency, has announced his intentions to challenge the existing political power dynamics in Navi Mumbai. Kadam expressed that his party's entry into the electoral fray is aimed at dismantling the entrenched dynastic politics that he believes have hindered the development of the region.

In a press conference, Kadam highlighted several local issues that he plans to address if elected, including the urgent need to make Navi Mumbai slum-free by facilitating housing for slum dwellers. He also emphasized the importance of tackling the employment crisis, establishing an affordable education system, and creating a multispecialty hospital to enhance healthcare services. Additionally, Kadam underscored the need for a sustainable solution to the ongoing water supply challenges and the pension issues faced by Mathadi workers.

Kadam declared his candidacy as a movement to demonstrate the strength of the common people against the perceived arbitrary governance of the current administration, particularly criticizing the practices of Mahavitaran. He asserted, "We are contesting these elections to give the leadership back to the common citizens of Navi Mumbai."

During the press event, Kadam also raised concerns about intimidation tactics allegedly employed by the ruling party to undermine the Swarajya Party's efforts in Navi Mumbai. He claimed that municipal officials were pressured to remove party banners promoting his candidacy, which featured the message, "He is coming." Kadam accused the ruling party of trying to stifle their political activities through such threats.

Kadam criticized the ruling powers in Navi Mumbai, stating that political influence has been confined to select families, leading to widespread corruption and mismanagement within local governance. "The power in Navi Mumbai has been monopolized by a few, resulting in rampant corruption and an arbitrary administration," he said.

Ankush Kadam is set to file his nomination papers on October 25, in a ceremony that will be attended by Yuvraj Shahaji Raje Chhatrapati, marking a significant step in his campaign. As the elections approach, Kadam's candidacy has ignited discussions about the future of governance in Airoli and the broader implications for Navi Mumbai.
