Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik reviews Panvel and Khopoli Bus Depots

Maharashtra's State Transport Minister, Pratap Sarnaik, visited the Panvel Bus Depot, the largest in the Konkan region, to assess the state of bus services, employee facilities, and depot management. During his visit, Sarnaik provided specific instructions to improve cleanliness, upgrade amenities for passengers, and enhance the women's restrooms.
To better understand passenger needs, the minister engaged with students who highlighted delays in bus services. He assured them of immediate measures to resolve such issues. Sarnaik also interacted with general passengers to gather their feedback and directed officials to promptly address their concerns.
"The Panvel Bus Depot is a critical hub for millions of travellers in the Konkan region. We are dedicated to improving services to ensure a convenient and comfortable experience for everyone," said Sarnaik.
The Transport Minister later embarked on an ST bus journey from Panvel to Khopoli to gain first-hand insights into the daily experiences and challenges faced by commuters. During the journey, he conversed with several passengers, gaining valuable perspectives on their struggles and the essential role of state transport in their lives.
Following the journey, Sarnaik visited the Khopoli Bus Depot, where he held discussions with employees to understand their concerns. He assured them of the government’s commitment to addressing their issues while also interacting with passengers to identify and solve their challenges.
“Ensuring the best facilities for ST passengers is our responsibility, and we are committed to fulfilling it”, Sarnaik emphasized, reiterating his dedication to enhancing Maharashtra's public transport system.
