Ulwe: A young man lost his life in a tragic accident shortly after celebrating his birthday on Sunday night. Aniket Balu Pawar, 29, was driving home with six friends in a Fortuner car when the vehicle overturned in Ulwe, just hours after cutting a birthday cake.

Aniket's friends had planned a midnight celebration for his birthday, which fell on Monday, September 30. He drove to Nhava village where the group marked the special day with cake-cutting festivities. After the celebration, they began their journey home around 12:30 AM.

While returning, Aniket lost control of the car at a turn near Nhava village. The Fortuner flipped over two to three times, resulting in Aniket suffering severe head injuries. He was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Belapur, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

His friends, who were also in the vehicle, sustained minor injuries and are currently recovering. The vehicle was extensively damaged in the incident. The Nhavasheva police have registered the accident and are conducting an investigation.
