Maximum city geared up for 20th edition of Tata Mumbai Marathon

Procamm International, the promoters of the World Gold Label Road Raced Tata Mumbai Marathon, highlighted the extensive arrangements that will be in place for the 63,000 plus participants scheduled to take part on Sunday 19th January, 2025  during a press meet on Wednesday in Mumbai.

Hugh Jones, Secretary General of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races and Race Director on his part spoke about the route for the iconic 20th edition of the TMM. Navi Mumbai based Dr. Santosh Kumar Dora - Medical Director - TMM 2025, who himself has completed 10 TMM in the past on the other hand highlighted on the kind of preparations that his team of over 70 Doctors including Cardiologist, Orthopaedics, General Physicians, Anaesthetists, Physiotherapist who will lend a helping hand to the injured athletes at various medical stations en-route in addition to Bike Medics and 18 ambulances who will be ready to ferry the critically injured or those suffering from cardiac arrest to nearby 14 hospitals  in case of emergency.   Homiyar Mistry - Vice president of BCDAA & Selection committee chairman of MAA informed on how his team of nearly 100 Technical officials were geared up to guide the athletes on the route and record their finish timings too. Vivek SIngh, Jt MD, Procam International gave an insight of how over 14, 700 volunteers ensure the smooth conduct of the TMM and its socio-economic impact in Maharashtra’s  economy by the presence of over 15,000 outstation athletes who will partake from all across India. He also highlighted the role of Western and Central Railways in providing special services of local trains in the wee hours of the race day. Veteran P. N. Sankaran, Director, Operations, Procam International dwelled on how his team over the years have fine tuned the route for smooth conduct of the various races to ensure maximum participation
