Mira Bhayander: The Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) concluded the Vasundhara Festival 2025, organized under the Maharashtra Government’s flagship campaign My Vasundhara 5.0’. The three-day festival, held from April 4 to April 6, aimed to promote environmental sustainability and raise awareness about the five core elements of nature: earth, water, air, fire, and sky.

The event featured a variety of eco-centric programs and cultural activities designed to engage the public in environmental conservation efforts. One of the main highlights was the eco-exhibition, which showcased stalls offering medicinal plants, seeds, nursery items, Ayurvedic products, handloom crafts, solar energy solutions, rainwater harvesting systems, and electric vehicle (EV) charging technologies.

Adding a creative touch, school students participated in a painting competition, expressing themes of nature and sustainability through their art. Cultural performances by students and MBMC staff brought folk arts to life while spreading ecological messages.

The excitement continued with the ‘Fort Cyclothon 2025’ on April 6, which attracted over 500 cyclists from across Maharashtra, promoting clean transportation and fitness.

To cap off the festival, a musical evening titled “Songs of the Elements” offered soulful performances centered around the five elements, leaving audiences with a sense of harmony between culture and nature.

The festival served as a vibrant platform to reinforce the message of collective responsibility in protecting the environment and highlighted MBMC’s commitment to building a greener future.
