The Mumbai city edition of Mechathlon 2024, a premier STEM fest organized by the Commonwealth Youth Council, Commonwealth Student Association, and Global Understanding for Sustainable Development (GUSD), concluded successfully, inspiring over 2,000 young innovators. The event saw students aged 8 to 18 showcase their skills and ingenuity in robotics and sustainable development projects, paving the way for the grand finale in November.

The Mumbai edition focused on hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) projects, featuring a variety of competitions. Events such as the Ecoinova Science Exhibition, Brainiac Battle Quiz, and advanced robotics challenges like Racer Robot, Fastest Line Follower, and Obstacle Avoider enhanced students’ technical and life skills. The winners of the Mumbai edition in both the robotics and science categories have now qualified for the upcoming finale, setting the stage for further recognition.

Mechathlon 2024 provided a platform for young innovators to apply STEM principles to real-world challenges, demonstrating both technical expertise and creativity. Participants showed a strong sense of collaboration and problem-solving skills, highlighting the role of STEM education in driving future innovation.
