Mumbai: Central Railway will operate a mega block on its suburban network on Sunday, October 18, to undertake engineering and maintenance work, affecting services on the Main, Harbour and Trans-Harbour lines. Western Railway has announced that there will be no block on its suburban section.
On the Main line, the fifth and sixth lines between Thane and Kalyan will remain under block from 9 am to 1 pm. Several mail and express trains will be diverted onto fast lines, resulting in delays of 10 to 15 minutes. The Vasai Road–Diva MEMU departing at 9.50 am will terminate at Kopar, while the return service will originate from Kopar at 11.45 am. Services between Diva and Kopar will remain cancelled.
On the Harbour line, services between Panvel and Vashi, excluding the Port line, will be affected from 11.05 am to 4.05 pm. Several services connecting Panvel and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus will be cancelled.
Trans-Harbour services between Panvel and Thane will also be affected. Special suburban trains will operate between CSMT and Vashi, while services will remain available between Thane and Vashi/Nerul. Port line services will continue uninterrupted.
