Dr. P.P. Vava, Honorable Member of the National Safai Karmachari Commission, visited the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) on January 18. During his visit, he praised the cleanliness and sanitation efforts in the municipal area.

Municipal Commissioner Mangesh Chitale presented detailed information on the facilities provided to the sanitation workers by the Corporation, including quarterly health check-ups, promotions, and timely payments. Dr. Vava expressed satisfaction with the services provided and appreciated the facilities extended to the workers.

The visit was attended by various prominent officials including Social Advisor of the National Safai Karmachari Commission Abhishek Nath, Coordinator Sandeep Charan, Deputy Commissioners Kailas Gawde, Dr. Vaibhav Vidhate, Babasaheb Rajale, Ravikiran Ghodke, and other senior municipal officers.

The delegation also acknowledged the promotion of highly educated health inspectors, with the recent appointment of a health inspector as Junior Engineer. The junior engineer was honoured with a bouquet by Dr. Vava in recognition of the achievement.

Dr. P.P. Vava and the other members of the commission commended the efforts of the Panvel Municipal Corporation in prioritizing the welfare of sanitation workers and emphasized the importance of improving working conditions for them.
