In a significant milestone   , two self-help groups from Mira-Bhayandar have been selected to showcase their handcrafted products at a prestigious national exhibition at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The selection was made under the Udyogini Scheme of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, which aims to promote and empower women-led businesses across India. The exhibition, which commenced on 8 February, will continue until 16 February 2025.

As part of its initiative to provide greater exposure to women’s self-help groups, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs invited entries from across the country under the Udyogini Scheme.

Over 300 products from various women’s self-help groups in Mira-Bhayandar were submitted for consideration. Among them, Shri Mahalaxmi Women’s Self-Help Group and Bright Race were chosen to represent their work at the national level.
