In a firm stance regarding the ongoing water crisis in Navi Mumbai, MLA Ganesh Naik has issued a warning to the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s (NMMC) administration, emphasizing that citizens are facing severe water shortages across the city.

The veteran politician held 84th meeting with the Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde and warned that if improvements are not made to the water supply system, residents will initiate protests through democratic means.

During the meeting various pressing issues affecting Navi Mumbai were discussed. A significant focus of the meeting was the alarming water scarcity affecting residents from Digha to Belapur.

Despite the Morbe Dam being at full capacity this year, Naik highlighted that the water supply remains inconsistent. He raised critical questions regarding the daily water allocation to Navi Mumbai, the sources of this water, and the distribution from the Morbe Dam.

Naik insisted on prompt action from the municipal administration to address the water supply crisis, stating, "The people of Navi Mumbai demand a smooth and reliable water supply. If their needs are not met, we will not hesitate to mobilize for a strong agitation against the administration”.
