Various infrastructure works, including the construction of new railway tracks, parking facilities, and platforms, are currently underway at Panvel Railway Station. On Friday, Panvel MLA Prashant Thakur conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing works to review the progress and ensure timely completion.

During the inspection, MLA Thakur was accompanied by BJP North Raigad District President Avinash Koli, former corporator Dr. Arunkumar Bhagat, Yuva Morcha Panvel City President Sumit Jhunjarrao, Station Master Krishna Agarwal, and several other local leaders and officials, including Ajay Bahira, Tejas Kandpile, R. K. Nair, Shivaji Bhosale, Ashok Ambekar, Zarina Sheikh, Kavita Gupta, and Ravindra Faste.

The redevelopment of Panvel Railway Station is a part of the central government’s Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), which aims to modernize railway stations across India and provide world-class facilities to passengers. This initiative focuses on upgrading stations to meet international standards and improve the overall passenger experience.

MLA Prashant Thakur took the opportunity to review the ongoing development works at Panvel station and provided valuable suggestions to the concerned officials to enhance the quality and efficiency of the project. Thakur emphasized the importance of completing the station redevelopment on time to benefit the growing number of commuters in the region.
