Mumbai: Sanjay Shirsat, MLA from Aurangabad West, officially assumed the role of Chairman of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) on Thursday, 19^th September. The event was attended by key CIDCO officials, including Vijay Singhal, VC & MD, Shantanu Goyal, Joint MD, Ganesh Deshmukh, Joint MD, Dilip Dhole, Joint MD, and Shri. Suresh Mengde, Chief Vigilance Officer.

In his inaugural address, MLA Shirsat highlighted CIDCO's pivotal role in the state's growth and development. He emphasized his commitment to maintaining the organization’s reputation as a leader in urban planning and development. "My focus will be on ensuring the timely completion of significant projects, including the Navi Mumbai International Airport, NAINA city, and the Mass Housing Scheme," he stated.

He also expressed his intent to prioritize the interests of project-affected individuals and the general public, reiterating CIDCO’s goal of providing affordable housing solutions for common citizens. "We are determined to achieve our objective of making homes accessible at reasonable rates very soon," he concluded, setting a positive tone for his tenure ahead.
