MNS demands housing regularization for project victims and LIG families in Navi Mumbai

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has taken an aggressive stance on the housing issue in Navi Mumbai, demanding the regularization of homes extended due to the needs of project victims. At a recent press conference, MNS spokesperson and city President Gajanan Kale called for the resignation of both Navi Mumbai MLAs, alleging that ruling leaders have made false promises and failed to resolve this pressing matter.

Kale emphasized that homes extended by project victims should be regularized, along with those built by the Lower Income Group (LIG) in areas like Nerul, Belapur, Sanpada, Turbhe, Koparkhairane, and Airoli for the growing family needs. The MNS plans to escalate this issue by involving party leader Raj Thackeray and meeting with the Chief Minister to find a concrete solution.

Kale further stated that from September 25 to October 2, MNS will launch a 'Parivartan Yatra' in the Belapur Assembly. The yatra aims to engage with various constituents of Navi Mumbai, focusing on critical issues like education, health, and employment.

In terms of education, Kale proposed a government audit of all CBSE, ICSE, and private schools to prevent any fee hikes for the next few years, a move that aims to provide much-needed relief to parents burdened by skyrocketing school fees.

Regarding employment, the MNS lauded a recent directive from the state government's Industries Department, which has sent letters to 929 companies in Navi Mumbai, mandating 80 percent employment for local residents. This follows the registration of 888 new companies by the Skill and Employment Department. During the Parivartan Yatra, MNS plans to meet with local youth and collect their bio-data to facilitate their employment.

Gajanan Kale also criticized the state of healthcare in Navi Mumbai, citing an incident where a doctor at a municipal hospital allegedly tried to give expired medicine to a two-year-old child. He claimed that municipal doctors often refer poor patients to private clinics for medication, raising questions about the municipal corporation’s capacity to build a super-specialty hospital. MNS intends to push the state government to implement a uniform tariff for all treatments in private hospitals, aiming to prevent financial exploitation by large healthcare institutions.

The MNS plans to engage with various community groups, including women, students, workers, businessmen, and environmentalists, during the Parivartan Yatra. Navi Mumbaikars interested in participating in this campaign have been urged to contact the MNS at 9769777887.

Mahila Sena City President Dr. Aarti Dhumal and Sachin Kadam were also present at the press conference, highlighting the party's united front on these pressing local issues.
