The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has issued a stern warning to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) authorities, demanding the resolution of pressing civic problems in the Juinagar and Nerul nodes within seven days. A delegation led by MNS Deputy City President Savinay Mhatre and Joint Secretary Abhijit Desai met with the Nerul Ward Officer to present a memorandum detailing various issues plaguing the area.

During the meeting, Mhatre highlighted significant concerns including unauthorized hawkers and fruit sellers obstructing roads and footpaths from Nerul Railway Station East to West, causing traffic disruptions and inconvenience for residents. The delegation urged the appointment of security guards to manage the situation.

Additionally, they raised alarms about the unauthorized parking of chicken transport vehicles near Manak Hospital, citing health risks related to bird flu. Other issues included a closed underpass at Sector 1 LP that has become a breeding ground for foul odours due to stagnant water and garbage accumulation. The delegation also pointed out that large drains behind Sector 19 Gurudwara are filled with silt and waste, posing health risks for malaria and dengue.

Demands were made for the installation of speed breakers in certain areas of Juinagar and Nerul, filling potholes on roads, and extending the operating hours of local parks.

The delegation have warned that if these issues are not addressed promptly, they will resort to protests to make their voices heard.

MNS members such as Division President Aniket Bhopi, Akshay Bhosale, Nikhil Gawde, Umesh Gaikwad, Praveen Raut, Akshay Kadam, Pranit Dongre, Jitendra Bhoir, Dinesh Sen, Nitin Marathe, Vinayak Patil, and Amol Sarde were present during the meeting.
