The recently published voter list and its supplementary version by the Election Commission for the upcoming assembly elections have sparked confusion and allegations of irregularities in the Navi Mumbai 151 Belapur Legislative Assembly constituency. According to MNS spokesperson and City President Gajanan Kale, the party has identified approximately 15,000 duplicate voters and 18,000 bogus voters in the list, raising serious concerns about the integrity of the electoral process.

Upon scrutinizing the voter list, which contains a total of 415,436 names, MNS discovered discrepancies where voters were not traceable at their registered addresses. Kale stated that many of these names appear to have been fraudulently registered, undermining the principle of transparent and fair elections.

In response to these findings, a delegation from the MNS has formally approached the election decision officer, submitting a written complaint accompanied by evidence from their investigation into the voter lists. The complaint emphasizes that the presence of duplicate and bogus names poses a significant threat to the integrity of the electoral process.

Gajanan Kale expressed that if the election authorities fail to address these discrepancies and remove the bogus and duplicate names, the MNS will not hesitate to take legal action, potentially filing a public interest litigation (PIL) in court. Alongside Kale, MNS spokesperson Sachin Kadam was also present in the delegation that met with the election officials.
