Demands municipal action

Navi Mumbai: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Sanpada Division President, Yogesh Shete, has addressed a letter to Vivek Mulye, Executive Engineer (Civil Department) of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, demanding the immediate filling of potholes on the road leading to Juinagar Railway Station near the Sanpada Railway Flyover, under the Nerul Division Office.

The recent heavy rains have caused significant damage to the road, creating large potholes and washing away portions of the road surface. Accumulated rainwater in these potholes has made it difficult for drivers to navigate, leading to frequent accidents and worsening the plight of passengers. In his statement, Yogesh Shete emphasized the urgency of the situation, noting that the road conditions pose a significant danger to motorists and pedestrians alike.

Despite the upcoming Ganeshotsav festival, the Municipal Corporation has yet to address the issue, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among citizens. Shete's letter highlights the negligence of the municipal authorities in addressing this pressing problem. He has warned that if the potholes are not filled immediately, the MNS will resort to protests against the municipal administration, following what he termed as 'MNS style' agitation.
