Navi Mumbai: CIDCO presents budget of Rs 14,130 crore for financial year 2025-26

CIDCO has presented its budget for the financial year 2025-26, outlining an ambitious plan to ramp up infrastructure projects, including the Navi Mumbai International Airport, Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) and the International Edu-city project.

The budget was tabled by Vijay Singhal, the vice chairman and managing director of CIDCO. The nodal agency has earmarked Rs 14,130 crore for expenditure against expected receipts of Rs14,130 crore.

CIDCO has always achieved a remarkable success in providing state of the art infrastructure for the betterment of the society. And accordingly, CIDCO has presented a highest budget of Rs 14,130 crore (expenditure) for 2025-26 against receipts of Rs 14,130 crore with great sense of responsibility and accountability towards the development of the country," CIDCO said in a release.

The budget places a strong emphasis on key infrastructure projects, including the Navi Mumbai International Airport, metro expansion, mass housing schemes, the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA), International Educity, and critical water supply initiatives.

“With several of these projects at crucial stages of development, CIDCO aims to ensure their timely completion while also addressing essential urban infrastructure needs. Connectivity projects and water supply schemes, which significantly impact the daily lives of Navi Mumbai’s residents, have been given considerable attention in this budget”, Singhal said.

Apart from large-scale infrastructure projects like the Navi Mumbai International Airport and the metro system, the budget also supports initiatives such as Thane Cluster Development, the Ulwe Coastal Road, the Kharghar-Turbhe Link Road, railway expansions, the International Corporate Park, and new township projects. By allocating the highest-ever expenditure in its history, CIDCO reaffirms its responsibility and accountability toward the development of Navi Mumbai, further strengthening its position as a key player in the region’s urban transformation.

He emphasised the importance of these allocations, stating that the substantial investment will not only accelerate project execution but also provide much-needed relief to the public.

CIDCO said it is committed to the "pillars of four principles of transparency, accountability, better accounting practices and performance" with an aim of achieving desired growth for the state and corporation.

"CIDCO is committed towards development and have made tremendous strides in e-governance, with a focus on transparency and ease of access to its services for residents of Navi Mumbai & CIDCO jurisdiction area as well," the release added.
