Navi Mumbai news: Kharghar police recovers mobile phones, including iPhones; returns to rightful owners

Navi Mumbai: Kharghar police has recovered 50 stolen and missing mobile phones worth Rs 9.51 lakh. The mobile phones including high end ones such as iPhones and OnePlus, were returned to its rightful owners at a function held in the Kharghar police station on April 6.

Senior Police Inspector Deepak Surve instructed his team from Kharghar police station to trace the stolen and missing mobile phones through the CEIR portal and instructed them to trace those mobile phones. The central government has launched CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal to trace missing mobile phones.

Technical investigation by the Kharghar police team led to the discovery of the fact that many mobile phones were in use in different districts and states.

 Police recovered a total of 50 stolen and missing mobile phones. The owners were called to the Kharghar police station and returned their gadgets.
