Navi Mumbai News: Police raid prostitution racket at Panvel lodging

Panvel: Police raided Bhushan Lodging and Boarding in Panvel’s Kon area on April 10, arresting three individuals, the manager, driver, and waiter, who were involved in running a prostitution racket. Six women were rescued from the lodge.
The police had received information that women were being provided for prostitution to customers at the lodge for Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000. A decoy operation was carried out on April 10, confirming the illegal activity.
Investigations revealed that the manager, Kishore Garde, driver Lokesh Devraj Gowda, and waiter Abhilash Krishna Shetty were calling women and girls to the lodge for prostitution.
A case was filed under the PITA Act at the Panvel Taluka Police Station. The three arrested individuals face charges, and the six women have been rescued.
