A Rabale resident has filed a case of rape against Navi Mumbai ex-corporator Ramashish Yadav.

The victim belongs to the Dalit community and was maintaining relation with Yadav since 2005.

Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 351(2) and the SC/ST Act 1989. 

According to the complaint filed, Yadav had been maintaining physical relations with the victim since 2005.

The victim claimed she even got pregnant with Yadav’s child during the period but was forced to undergo abortion.

The victim further claimed she has a son from Yadav but the child’s parentage was denied by the ex-corporator.
