In a bid to enhance voter convenience and ensure smooth polling on election day, Navi Mumbai Police has introduced a unique facility for voters in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Elections. Voters in the four constituencies under Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate—Airoli, Belapur, Panvel, and Uran can now access real-time information regarding their polling station, nearby parking spaces, and the current crowd situation with just one click on their mobile phones.
The Navi Mumbai Police has provided a special QR code and an online link (https://www.navimumbaipolice.gov.in/guide-to-polling) that citizens can scan or click to access essential election-day information. This user-friendly initiative allows voters to receive crucial details about their assigned polling stations, parking arrangements, and the crowd status, helping them plan their visits efficiently.
In addition, to address the Election Commission's restriction on carrying mobile phones within 200 meters of polling stations, Navi Mumbai Police has set up mobile lockers outside each polling station. Voters can securely store their phones in these lockers before casting their votes.
