In a bid to address the persistent issue of haphazard parking done by unruly motorists, the Navi Mumbai Traffic Branch carried a special drive on Saturday. The drive was carried at Kharghar and CBD Belapur nodes. During the drive, motorists found parking their vehicles in a haphazard manner, were slapped with e-challans.

The drive at Kharghar node was carried under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Santosh Kane, of Kharghar Traffic Branch. E-challans were issued against 8 motorists who had parked haphazardly in their vehicles, causing traffic disruptions in Sector 20, Kharghar.

In a parallel operation during the evening, the traffic police continued their campaign against traffic offenders by issuing e-challans to 15 vehicles obstructing traffic in the garage line area of Belpada. An additional 24 vehicles were also penalized for causing traffic disruptions near D Mart in Kharghar Sector-15. The enforcement action was diligently carried out by the dedicated officers, including female police Naik, A.A.Ture, police constable N.D.Pable, and other officials.

Senior Police Inspector Santosh Kane, from the Kharghar Traffic Branch, said, "Citizens should refrain from parking their vehicles on the road in a haphazard manner that obstructs traffic. Failure to comply with traffic rules will result in e-challans and legal consequences. This enforcement effort will persist in Kharghar."
