New Jasai flyover fails to withstand rain

Potholes and water accumulated

Uran: The Jasai flyover on the Uran-Panvel road, recently constructed with significant investment from JNPA and the National Highway Authority, has developed large potholes on both sides, raising serious concerns about road safety.

The Jasai flyover, built to alleviate traffic congestion and improve connectivity, was funded through a substantial expenditure and executed by a contractor. However, despite the hefty investment, the flyover's construction quality appears substandard, with potholes emerging after the very first rainfall. This deterioration has raised fears of potential accidents.

Motorists are facing significant challenges due to the potholes and water accumulation. The concerned administration is now being urged to investigate the poor quality of work and address the issues without extending further support to the contractor, to ensure the safety of road users and prevent future accidents.
